The role: Technical Advisor, Patent

As a Technical Advisor to the Patent team, you have the unique opportunity to help mold the world- shaping technologies that the company is developing. You'll work with a variety of legal, product and engineering teams to help grow our patent portfolio. You'll collaborate with an invigorating, inspiring team of innovators who are passionate about future technologies.

Responsibilities:

Draft claim charts and technical product analysis.
Identify strategic areas for patenting.
Research new areas of technology.
Innovate.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree (In lieu of degree, 4 years relevant work experience)
3 years of work experience as a patent technician, patent scientist or patent engineer.
Experience in claim chart development and technical product analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Engineering or related field.
Experience participating in Standards Bodies.
Admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office or eligible to take the patent bar.
A solid understanding of the patent process.
Knowledge of internet or cellular architecture and operation, wireless standards (CDMA, UMTS, GSM, LTE, and WiMax), Networking Protocols, Telecommunication protocols (VOIP, SIP), and/or computer programming languages.
